Pakistan embassy in UAE launches round-the-clock outreach for citizens amid Iran tensions
Consular services paused until Tuesday
DUBAI – The Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi has rolled out a comprehensive facilitation and outreach initiative for Pakistani nationals living in the United Arab Emirates amid heightened regional tensions.
The move includes the launch of an online registration system and the establishment of round-the-clock facilitation desks in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Officials say the measures are designed to ensure quicker coordination and assistance for citizens during the evolving security situation.
In a post on X, the embassy confirmed that the new online registration form has been introduced specifically for members of the Pakistani community in the UAE.

Authorities urged nationals to complete the form carefully so that the mission can maintain updated records and respond promptly where support is required.
Outreach drive
The embassy has set up dedicated facilitation desks in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, which officials said will operate 24 hours a day. The desks are intended to provide immediate guidance and assistance to Pakistani citizens who may require help during the current period of uncertainty.
Special instructions have also been issued for Pakistani travellers stranded in transit due to ongoing flight disruptions and airport closures. The embassy has asked affected passengers to fill out the designated form so that officials can coordinate with relevant authorities and airlines to arrange necessary support.
“The information provided will help the Embassy coordinate with relevant authorities and airlines to extend necessary assistance,” the mission said in its advisory.
Crisis measures
A day earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Office announced that its Crisis Management Unit has been activated to closely monitor developments across the Middle East and the Persian Gulf. The unit is tasked with extending all necessary assistance to Pakistani nationals abroad as the regional situation continues to evolve.

The developments follow a fresh wave of Iranian attacks targeting US-linked sites in Gulf countries, including the UAE. The escalation came after the United States and Israel carried out what they described as a pre-emptive joint strike on Iranian targets, with President Donald Trump announcing the beginning of “major combat operations”.
Service suspension
Separately, Pakistan’s embassy and consulate in the UAE have temporarily suspended consular services until Tuesday, March 3, 2026, citing the prevailing regional situation.
In a circular issued on Sunday, the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai said the decision followed guidance from the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, which recommended remote working and advised against workers’ presence in open spaces.
The Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi reiterated that the precautionary step was taken in the interest of the safety and well-being of both community members and embassy staff. Officials added that the resumption of normal consular services will be announced once the security environment stabilises.
Pakistani nationals in the UAE have been advised to follow instructions issued by local authorities and remain updated through official embassy announcements.
